Let’s Celebrate Earth Hour !!!
Make one good habit and make our home beautiful….
That is our Earth……
Like every year this year too Earth Hour is going to be celebrated on the last Saturday of March. This year it will be celebrated on Saturday 31st March, 2012.
As environment conscious citizens we are all aware of an important environment concern-Global Warming, which is leading the world towards Climate Change. Earth Hour is a WWF initiative symbolising the collective power of individuals, businesses and Governments to reduce our impact on this planet. Launched in 2007 in Australia, Earth Hour is the largest Environment Campaign grown to millions of people in over 5000 cities across 135 countries.
Earth Hour’s simple message to the people around the globe is to switch off their lights not only for an hour - from 8.30 pm - 9.30pm , but go beyond the hour and make long-term changes to their energy usage.
I urge each one of you to sustain your commitment and responsible actions not for an hour but to go beyond the hour and commit to a personal action to benefit the environment and be a part of the solution.
As informed citizens, let us make this campaign successful by switching off our lights at least for an hour from 8.30 pm - 9.30 pm on Saturday 31st March, 2012.
